The strength of our Ayrshire breed is a great group of dedicated youth. Our recipient, this year, is a great example. Not only is he a great cattle breeder, he is also a super promoter of Ayrshires, whether at home or other events, when snow storms permit safe travel!
His best promotion is the Old Home Week in Charlottetown, PEI, where he works hard to have a great exhibit, and not only donate hay and straw, but also take photos, etc. He is also involved in the Canadian Ayrshire Association, buys ads in the Review, provides consignments to sales, and helps other breeders move cattle.
